ChAIpter ("we", "us", "the Service") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Account Data: Email address and password (hashed) when you create an account.
Content Data: The novels, chapters, characters, places, and other creative content you write and save in the Service.
Usage Data: Basic analytics such as feature usage, page views, and AI credit consumption. This does not include your content.
Payment Data: We do not store payment card details. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider.
We use your data solely to: provide and maintain the Service, process AI requests, send essential service communications, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal data or your content.
When you use the AI writing assistant, the content you submit (your prompts and the chapter context) is sent to our AI provider (MiMo API) solely to generate a response. We do not share your content for model training or any purpose beyond fulfilling your immediate request. AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your content is permanently erased within 30 days.
We use the following third-party services: MiMo API (AI processing), InsForge (backend infrastructure), and Vercel/Netlify (hosting). Each has its own privacy policy governing data handling. We choose partners who commit to data protection standards.
You may: access, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings. You may cancel your subscription at any time. You may contact us to request removal of specific data. We will respond within 30 days.
We use essential cookies for authentication and service functionality. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
